ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
SEALED PROPOSALS addressed to the City Manager, City of Henderson, Texas will be received until 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Henderson City Hall, 400 West Main Street, Henderson, Texas 75652, for the Construction of a room addition to the CITY OF HENDERSON CIVIC CENTER. Bids will be opened and publicly read at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2015, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Henderson, Texas.
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS may be examined without charge in the office of the City Secretary. One copy of each set of documents may be obtained upon payment of $15.00. No refunds will be made.
The project basically consists of the following:
Construction of an approximate 495 square foot Storage Room addition with new entrance on the south side of the Henderson Civic Center including all necessary preliminary and final site grading, electrical, concrete flatwork and all incidentals for a complete project.
A Bidder's Bond, Certified or Cashier's Check in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract with the City of Henderson, Texas.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond as well as proof of statutory worker’s compensation insurance.
The City of Henderson reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bids may be held by the City of Henderson for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
