At approximately 9:30AM [THURSDAY, MARCH 16] crews placing fiber optic cable caused accidental damage to an 8 inch water line located between Ruby and Robertson streets.
Public Utilities Director Randy Boyd contacted City Hall with the following key information:
▪ A boil water notice HAS NOT been put into effect
▪ Stained water may be seen in homes and businesses in a wide radius from HISD Football Stadium to Walmart
▪ Public Utility crews are working rapidly to assess the extent of the damage and make repairs
