The City Managers Newsletter is a publication delivered to city employees, residents, businesses, and any individual signed up to receive up-to-date and relevant information regarding the inner workings and upcoming activities within the City of Henderson.

- Employee Toy Drive – City employees are encouraged to bring toys and items to Employee Appreciation Dinner on December 9th. All donations benefit the Rusk Co Child's Advocacy Center.
- December Council Meeting – The Cities Council Meeting is December 20th at 6:00pm. A celebration of retirement for Suzanne Cross will be held in the council chamber from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.
- Christmas Closures – City buildings will be closed December 23rd and 26th for the Christmas holiday.
- New Years Closure – City buildings will be closed January 2nd for the New Year.

- Verkada security cameras have been delivered and will be installed to the rest of the City facilities including both fire stations, Animal Center, Public Services Warehouse, Civic Center, Water Plant, Community Center and the Alley on Main pocket park restroom entrance. Verkada keycard access was installed at the front and back doors of City Hall.
- City Council Chambers and Courtroom now have the glass doors installed. Most of the glass in the Community Development offices are also installed.
- The wood trim up front around the payment centers will be next on the list followed by the remodel of the public women’s bathroom downstairs.

The Council Chambers of New City Hall welcome back a familiar face: Reginald Weatherton as he reclaims District Two. Handshakes and warm regards were exchanged with outgoing Michael Searcy; who brought technological innovation and energy to the role. Mayor Pro Tem Henry Pace raises his hand, taking the solemn Oath of Office. Our City continues striving forward, with big plans on the horizon in 2023.
