- March Council Meeting – The City's Council Meeting is March 19th at 6:00pm.
- Coffee with Cops - Henderson Police Department invites you to enjoy hot coffee, ask questions and get to know your local law enforcement on March 21st, 8:00am-9:00am at Herschels Restaurant.
- City Closures – City Hall and Facilities will be closed March 29th, 2024 in observance of Good Friday
- Community Clean-Up - The annual spring Community Clean-Up will be Saturday, April 6th, from 8am-5pm at the Public Service Warehouse: 1203 Highland Drive. Click here for more information.
- A Day on Main – April 13th, in downtown Henderson

- The elevator construction continues at City Hall. The bricks are complete and the final touches have been done inside the elevator shaft for the construction and placement of the actual elevator. The glass curtain wall and door should be installed within the next few weeks.
- City crews are in the process of remodeling the second floor mens and womens restrooms and are nearing the end of the remodel on the first floor ladies restroom.
- Stain work and painting have been going on at the Municipal Services Complex. Fingers crossed final touch-ups and construction will be completed by the end of March.
- The Central Fire Station construction is complete in the firefighter living quarters other than touch up painting. This includes the new roof, HVAC duct work and insulation spray foam. The administrative side of the building and the large truck bays have now also been completed with the spray foam insulation. The admin side is in the process of replacing the drop ceiling and tiles along with the touch up paint.
- Parks and Recreation crews are busy preparing our community for spring with their annual rose trimming, repairing drinking fountains, and planting new trees and flowers at local parks.

A Distinguished CareerAfter 32 years of Service, Fire Chief Rusty Chote retired from the City of Henderson. He celebrated his retirement at the Municipal Services Complex surrounded by family, friends, co-workers, and community members. He will be greatly missed!

Way To Climb That Municipal Ladder!The first few months of 2024 brought lots of changes to the City of Henderson. Some of these changes include promotions throughout different departments. - Sonny Ybarra: promoted to Henderson Fire Chief

- Ben Martain: promoted to Fire Lieutenant

Firefighters and Fur BabiesHenderson Animal Center and Henderson Fire Department joined forces to bring awareness to the overcrowding and immediate need of homes for the animals at Henderson Animal Center. The heartwarming photos gained the attention of thousands, including local news outlet KLTV.
