We were informed that the children ages 3-8 cannot ride scooters/skates on the sidewalk at the park. They were told they have to go to the skate park which is completely unsafe for young children even...

We were informed that the children ages 3-8 cannot ride scooters/skates on the sidewalk at the park. They were told they have to go to the skate park which is completely unsafe for young children even with parents there. There is no fence to keep small children out of the road with speeding vehicles and the walls are a safety hazard. Plus if ANY teenager is there it is completely unusable for a young child.
However, we were told my kids can bring their bikes which is a far greater safety hazard for pedestrians than their scooters. My 5 five old can control his scooter but not a bike. However, it is a bike that will come next time.
so my recommendation is a flat cement slab for younger kids to ride their scooters/skates etc...

This is part of Rebecca King's project. The architectural blueprints have already made for this project. A Community Center located on Cedar Creek lake with a central kitchen & hosting area. This would allow cooking classes as well as be a kitchen caterers can use for Weddings & Events. The classrooms located on the sides. The classrooms will have moveable walls to accommodate changes in classes given & changes in quantity of students attending. Green Space surrounding the Community Center that have walking & biking trails as well as children's playground. Being located on the lake allows for the use of turbines & solar panels for renewable energy. This project encompasses jobs & skills development, provides community activities, enhances the quality of life for residents, brings in tourism & economic benefits for Henderson County. All necessary in obtaining sustainability.

Do not turn away events based on a small group's opinion (or choice to be offended). Any event brings money to our community and keeps revenue from leaving our community. It's good business. Anyone, who does not approve, has the absolute right to not attend the event and others have a choice.

Do not turn away events based on a small group's opinion (or choice to be offended). Any event brings money to our community and keeps revenue from leaving our community. It's good business. Anyone, who does not approve, has the absolute right to not attend the event and others have a choice.

We need to have something fun for the younger people to enjoy. Skating Rink, Bowling, Movies in the park, Karaoke, something creative maybe!!!! Just a place to hang out and enjoy each others company...

It would be a great place for residents of Henderson & the greater East Texas area to have a place where they can create & enjoy art that can, potentially be displayed artist alongside world renowned artists.

As a long time resident of Henderson, I've often thought "Wouldn't it be nice to have an Art Gallery & Museum in the downtown vacinity." Who do we need to contact to lower the speed limit on S. Mill St.
It is not a matter of if, but when someone is going to get hurt. 15MPH should be the speed limit and have speed bumps
