Divisions

• Communications: The Communications Division is responsible for identifying, dispatching, and supporting emergency response calls for service.
• Criminal Investigation Division: The Criminal Investigation Division is the investigative arm of the police department.
• Drug Enforcement: Henderson Police Department utilizes two of its certified officers for specialized service in drug enforcement, one of which is also assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration out of Tyler, and the other is assigned to local Narcotics.
• Patrol: The Henderson Police Department Patrol Division consists of lieutenants, sergeants, and patrol officers, plus a K-9 unit.
• School Resource: The School Resource Officer program (SRO) is a nationally accepted program involving the placement of a law enforcement officer with the educational environment. Henderson Police Department partners with Henderson Independent School District for this program.
• Tactics Team: The Tactics Team’s mission is to minimize the risk of serious injury to officers and citizens during a crisis situation.
